So you're in the mood for a delicious single cup of coffee! Let's walk our way through what you will need.
Of course, start with the finest coffee bean of your choice. It makes no difference if it's a full bodied Kenya AA Tembo, a low acid Guatemala Huehuetenango La Eterna or the blend from your favorite coffee shop, like our BlueNose Reserve. As long as it meets your taste, it's the right coffee bean for you.
Next, the coffee bean should be roasted to your taste; light roast, medium roast or dark roast. You might even prefer a very dark espresso roast. Up to you!!
After that, it will be ground according to the needs of the particular coffee brewer you prefer. I won't comment on the various types of coffee brewers in this post, but for our purpose here today, a single brewed cup of coffee from a french press is a fine choice.
Now the most important item. The coffee bean you have selected must be fresh roasted! You will miss out on that perfect cup of brewed coffee if you follow all the steps above but end up using coffee that was roasted months earlier. Fresh roasted is vital to success! That's why we note the roasting date on every bag of coffee we ship.
Coffee beans suited to your taste; light bodied, medium bodied or full bodied.
Freshly roasted to your preference; light, medium, dark or espresso roast.
Coffee beans ground to your brewing needs; drip, perc, french press, etc.
The freshest possible roasted bean. If you don't know when your beans were roasted, it's most likely too long ago.
There you have it.... the perfect cup of coffee!
In our next blog, we will walk you through the steps of using a new drip type single cup brewer that requires no clean up!
